We have moved to Texas. The trip down here was not easy, but it was not an OMG we are never doing this again trip either.
We left on Sunday and traveled to Burley to visit my parents and stayed there until Tuesday morning. It was a good couple of days and I always enjoy visiting home. The girls had a good time as well playing with a new wagon filled with blocks. We even went swimming at the new kiddie pool in Burley. MaryJane and her kiddos came too. It was hot and the water was cold but the girls had a great time.
Emily has no fear when it comes to water. She kept trying to crawl into the deep parts of the pool. She would get to the point where she could not keep her mouth and nose above the water and she would keep trying to go further in...Crazy girl! Ana was just having fun splashing.
We visited Grandma Dayley and had a good visit with her on our way to the pool.
Then we were off on our journey again. We drove all day without too many breaks and then we drove until midnight so we could get to Farmington NM. We had planned to stop in a little town in Southern UT, but once we got there we were having a good moment and did not want to stop driving just yet. The girls had actually fallen asleep and we did not want to wake them. So we kept driving. We drove 600 miles that day. Which ended up being a very good thing.
Landon was going to meet us in Oklahoma City so we were planning on going there but it turned out that he could not get anyone to cover his shifts at work so we ended up driving to Lubbock instead to visit Bens Granddad and Delorious.
On our way there the girls started melting down. This was probably the worst day that we had. I think the girls had just had enough. We made a stop at a park once we got into Texas becuase the girls needed a break to get out of the Truck. It was hot and the park had very little grass that was in the shade, so we just played a little on swings and such and then got back in and started driving again. One of the stops that we made to change diapers happened to be right by a train and a train happened to be going by, and there happened to be a road close by so the train blasted its horn over and over. It was so very loud that the girls started screaming which was awesome! So
We stayed a few nights there to visit and had a really good time. I am glad that we decided to make it there.
After that, we headed to Fort Worth to our final destination. We made it to Bens Pops home in pretty good time and got the girls all settled in. It was a long trip and Ben and I were exhausted as were the girls. But I am glad we got to see as many family members as we did on our way down.
