Bugbites

These poor girls.  They have had a rough start to living in Texas when it comes to bugs.  Ana has been bit by something on her left hand which even months later still has her knuckle swollen, and recently she got bit by a fire ant.
Emily seems to have that sweet smell that attracts mosquitoes.  She had 8 bites in 2 days.  This was even with me spraying her down with bug spray.  She actually seemed to get them at night while she was in her crib, so I made a spritz with Lavender oil to spray on her at night after her bath to try to keep the buggies away.  She actually had a really rough night 3 nights in a row.  One night I finally gave her some Benedryl because she couldn't sleep because she itched all over so badly.  The other nights I just put Lavender Oil on each one, and that was enough to take away the itch.  I feel so bad!

Getting cooler

It is starting to cool down here and we are getting a few fall like days.  So we had to get the girls a few pair of jeans since they only had one pair of pants each that fit them... Here are a few pictures of what they are up to now that they are almost a year and a half old!

Reading

I love that my girls love books.  Who knows if this will continue, but both Ben and I have worked hard to read to the girls everyday multiple times.  They also destroy many books, but they love them so much when you ask if they want to read a story or get a book, they start to giggle.  Plus the fact that book was one of the first words they learned.
Here are a few pictures of them reading in their rocking chairs.
