The Park

There have been some really nice days intermixed with some nasty days so I have been trying to take full advantage of the nice days and get these girls outside.  They love being outdoors so much!

Valentines Day

We had a good valentines Day.  The Girls got new outfits and they were so cute in them!
We did many fun things!
We water colored, played with play doh and baked cookies! 
I was taking a meal to a fellow twin Mom that day so it turned a bit hectic near the end of the day, but that was mostly because Emily had decided she didn't need a nap...
These girls are growing up to fast!

First Watercolors

The girls have the unfortunate task of growing up with a mother who hates arts and crafts.  With all her soul. 
So here it is halfway to their third birthday and they are just now doing their first ever watercolor. 
Mom helped them a bit to show them what they could do with it! 

They of course LOVED it.  So I guess that means we will need to do it again.  Maybe it can be a Da project. 

 

This one is from Valentines Day.  Just a few short days later.

The rocket Ship

There is a spinning toy at the play ground that the girls get on and call it the rocket ship.
So they get on and start counting back from 3 or 5. Whatever they feel like and then say BlastOff!!
It is so cute! They take turns pushing each other.

Burger Break

There is a burger place that we go to occasionally that the girls love.  They love hamburgers and I taught them that when Da comes home that they should say this...
"Hi Daddy!  We missed you. Can we go get a hamburger?"  Lol
I am so naughty!  I think it is so funny though! 
They only say this when I remind them about it which isn't very often.
We do take them on the weekend once a month or so.  This place has a "game area" in the back and weekend after the train show we took them. They found Pac Man for the first time.

They would not leave.  We had to finally had to deal with the tantrums to get them out of there!

The train show

Much to the delight of their Da, the girls LOVE trains.  They have so many Thomas the Train toys and they play with them everyday.  They ask to wear their Thomas the Train socks everyday and get sad when they are dirty.  We had a casualty of one pair when we were at Thanksgiving at Ben's parents house.
So that makes it one less.  At least it was Ana's pair and she is less dramatic about it than Emily.
Ben found a train show online about a month ago and he has been excited to take the girls ever since!
So we took the girls to the model train show and they loved it.  They didn't want to leave.  We even stayed through nap time because they were having so much fun.  It was super packed but we tried to get a few pictures that would show some of the trains.

Potty training success FINALLY

We have been potty training for many many moons and after all the traveling we did during the holidays the girls went on strike.  They decided that they were done going in the potty and refused.  They would scream and cry if we even mentioned it.  So I did loads of pants and undies every evening. I was trying to come up with anything that would remind them it was ok to go in the potty!
So while we were at the grocery store I finally submitted and got a bag of licorice. 
I told them every time they would even sit on the potty and try they would get a piece.  When that worked I then changed it up and told them that every time they actually went potty they would get a piece.  They did awesome.  So awesome that the bag was gone in two days.  and my kids were sugared up to the max. 
So I then brought out the stickers and told them that after they got three stickers they would get a piece and the pieces turned from whole ones to nibs ... :)
They have been doing so awesome.  Hardly any accidents.  So going from 10+ each to maybe one usually none a day was AWESOME!!!!
Here is three days of stickers!  These kids go to the potty so many times.  But I am just glad it is in the potty and not in their pants!

First warmish day for a while!

LETS GO OUTSIDE MOM!!!
The girls hate the cold since they have to stay indoors most of the time.  They get so excited when it is nice and we can go to the park!
I was glad it was nice on a Day when Ben was available for a few daylight hours.

Happy New Year! 2014

Here is just a few shots of the good food we had.  That is all we got pictures of!
We had a good time though!  Ben cut up the rest of the tree in the back yard and then we grilled and had some friends over.  It was a good relaxing day after the work was done!
