Prelude to Easter
So we went to church on Thursday night, Friday night and then Easter, but here are some cute little dresses that I had gotten a while back that we put them in on Thursday.

Whew! This has been quite the few days! It was my weekend to close so I got home last night about 12:30 to a quite exhausted husband. It seems that this tooth trying to break through of Emily's is causing quite a rucas! She was super grumpy and was having a difficult time staying asleep because of her poor little hurting mouth.
So Ben and I get to bed and pretty much get to the point in your sleep patterns where you are "out" and woke up to a screeching alarm. Ben had woken up quicker than I had and was already in the girls room by the time I actually woke up enough to figure out that the screeching alarm was the smoke detectors. So I jumped out of bed and ran into the girls room which was pitch black and filled with smoke. So I quickly open a window and then grab Emily out of her crib and go and find Ben. We took the girls into the living room Ben handed Ana to me and went to investigate the girls room. He said he could not see any fire and the power was off in that half of the house. So he went into the garage to find that the breaker had been tripped.
He called the fire department and had them come out to ensure that there was not any fire somewhere where we could not find it.
It turns out it was the humidifier in the girls room that had overheated or something and had filled the girls room and hallway with smoke.
So needless to say today they were quite grumpy.
I decided that we would give them their little Easter baskets that Laura/Andrea and Amy gave to them and the little toys that Andrea sent. Even though they were the ones who woke us up, they were not too happy to be awake!

Then we had to buy new Easter dresses for the girls! Here are a few pictures! Smiles were very hard to come by today.

Emily is getting her first tooth!
Emily has her first tooth just trying to break the surface. one little tiny poke has made it through, but pretty sure that the tooth will make it today or tonight...We will see. Here are some pictures that I took today!

For my baby shower I got these shirts and it took this long for the girls to fit into thiers! Once again photo sessions take much effort with sometimes great results...sometimes results that are a little rough!

Play date Preview
Ben is excited about growing a garden this year and needed some help putting together some boxes. So he invited a couple of guys over and told thier families that he would borrow them for the day and that evening we would have everyone over and he would grill for them. Here are some pictures of the finished product.
So I was getting the girls ready for theier play date.

I had a rough day with the girls because they were so very sick. I about called it all off. But since I am pretty sure that the girls got thier sickness from the two boys who were coming over in the end I figured it would be ok for them to be here since they had already had it.
Ben and they men did a great job building the boxes and it took them most of the day but we had a great time last night with all the crew. The two boys are "boys" and like to play in the mud and wrestle. They were crazy! I am so glad I do not have two boys. They are great little boys and mind...just are boys! The other family has a little girl that is going through a "drama queen" stage. It was quite funny to me, but I am pretty sure her mom had about had enough!
Poor little Emily got her first "owie" She was getting excited with the boys and fell over from her sitting position right onto the tile floor (she was on the carpet and thought she was far enough away from the tile)
So she has a little knot and bruise on her head from the fall. But she took it like a trooper. I just held her for a few minutes and she was fine! Kids are so resileint.

Sitting up
The girls are now able to sit up for extended periods of time. These little girls are amazing! It is so exciting to see them grow and develop little by little!
Poor little girls have been sick since we got back home from Mom and Dad's.
We finally broke down and took them to the doctor this past Friday. They kept getting worse. The doctor told us that he thinks that they got a minor cold, and then when thier immune system was down, they got a bad one. They have had so much junk in thier little noses it is sad to hear them even breathe. They cough all the time and wake up during the night quite a bit becasue they cannot breathe. It has been a rough two weeks for them.
They have also found decided that they dont like to eat pureed food anymore, they want to feed themselves! So we have been trying to come up with ways to get them to eat. They are to the stage where they make a huge mess when eating. We gave them avacado the other day and just let them grab the slices and eat them. It was a fun time for them. They were all green when they got done! I will have to have Ben download the video he took from his phone to get it on here.
