Ana has found out a new trick and she thinks it is so fun! Feeding Emily cereal.
And yes, she is picking the cereal up off of the ground. It is what we lovingly call floor cheerios.
I do sweep and mop after they are done eating, so it doesn't bother me if they eat the cereal they just threw on the floor!
Yes, I am that mom.
Enjoy.

House transformation-before and now after
I hate having a messy house...no I mean I really hate it. It drives me super crazy to have to step over toys, or shoes, or whatever trying to get where I need to go. So you can only imaging how I feel when there are boxes everywhere too.
So I had almost gotten all the boxes in the house emptied and moved out and decided that it was time to hit it hard!
Here are some before pictures. We had company that night, so I didn't actually get any after pictures! bummer.
But I will get some later and get them posted. Needless to say, there are many less boxes and stuff everywhere and the house was clean!
It was awesome. Then the girls woke up and destroyed all of that cleanness! Oh well.

24 Month Clothes
It is exciting for me to put the girls in 24 month clothes! I know that there are so many moms out there that get sad to see thier little babies grow up, but I love to see these two little babies become little girls. Yes, even with the talking back and the full blown throwing themselves on the ground bucking and kicking tantrums. I love to see them learning and growing and developing. It is exciting to me. I do miss babies, but not more than I wnat to talk to my child and have them talk to me. I dont miss the days of having a child crying and not being able to understand why. They are precious when they are young. They are fun now! Here are some pictures of them in their big girl clothes.
On a side note, I have been spending a fortune trying to clothe these girls, so I asked some of my twin group moms of a place to buy second hand kids clothes and they told me about a few places. I found once pretty close to me and got 4 pairs of jeans, 4 tops, and a pair of church shoes each for 40 bucks. That is a step in the right directions since I could spend 40 dollars on just two pair of jeans, or one pair of shoes.
Now they should have enough 24 month clothes...I have even started picking up 2T since my BFF got the girls 2T clothes for Christmas and the pants are already too tight. (cloth diapers have that effect on jeans...they are hard to find where they fit over the bulk)
But I think the girls will still be able to wear them since they dont seem to be getting any fatter, just taller. We will have to wait and see. She got such cute jeans and shirts that I will be super dissapointed if they dont fit!

First time with big kid plates
I have been very hesitant to introduce plates, cups and utensils to my kiddos. I don't know why...probably because I hate messy messes and I see so many pictures of kids with oatmeal, or spaghetti all over them, the walls, the floor...ect ect. I do not want to have to clean up that mess. So I have still been still giving them finger foods just on their trays. Less mess and no plates to clean. Only sippees.
I finally decided it was time to at least introduce them. (well, I am still holding off on cups at this point until I have the time to dedicate to teaching which should be in the next few days.)
Here are some pictures of them with their first big girl plates! Still with finger food! :)
It will still probably be a while before I give them spaghetti! Yup, I am that mom. I hate cleaning up messes. I have to deal with all sorts of other messes all day long. I just dont want to have food messes!
I have introduced them to utensils while giving them rice. Ana has taken to it very well. Emily...she likes to chew on the fork! I know she will get it. She just always dumps the food off the fork before it gets to her mouth so I am sure she thinks that the fork is just a fun toy. We will keep working on it!

January and still the leaves are falling
Some before and after pictures of today during nap time! Phew what a chore. Who knew picking up and stuffing almost weightless leaves would be such hard work! :)
Now I look out and see so many more leaves...so depressing that I will have to do it all over again soon!

Pizza Boxes and Fighting
The girls have learned how to fight. It is so obnoxious! They also love to put things on their heads and play with empty cardboard boxes. So the below pictures are just a day of hanging out.

Home with Daddy in our new duds
My sister Rozanne sent us these outfits when the girls were just tiny little babies and I have been looking forward to when they were big enough to wear them! Thanks Rozy. The girls love the googly eyes on the bees on the shirt under the sweaters. Which they should still be able to wear some summer!
The girls are getting to look more and more alike as well.

Where have I been?
Whew! Once again. I have been overwhelmed with just life in general.
I will do what I can to update from the time I left off here. I am hoping that I finally fixed the photo issue once and for all! We will see!
Ben has been working his tail off for Edward Jones trying to get his name out there and get trained and established in the area. So he has pretty much been out of the picture. He always does what he can when he can, but he is working from 6 in the morning until 11 or 12 at night just trying to get where he wants to be with everything.
I fully support him in his efforts and want him to succeed. While he has been working 17-18 hours a day I have been doing everything else.
Not unlike many stay at home Moms. I have to hand it to you, this is not harder than I thought it would be, it is just harder than it has been!
The girls have been developing in so many ways. They are still not talking much, but they understand mostly everything and they sign for basic things such as eating, sleeping, bathtime and thing such as that.
Other than that as long as y0ou can figure out what it is they are trying to tell you it is good. They know what they are saying and what they want, it is up to me to decipher!
I have been busy trying to get moved in and get the house to a point where I dont think I will go crazy because of all the stuff laying around.
Our roomate has had some issues with custody of her daughter, so we are just here by ourselves so far. That gives me two empty rooms that beg for me to shove stuff in! I have not given in to the urge yet!
I am going to do some shorter posts now with pictures to catch up on everything!
I have missed being able to document my life and I am excited to get going again.

Goodbye 2012 Hello 2013
Whew what a month!
We have now officially moved into a new house. We decided to rent since we are not sure where Ben is going to be with his job in a year.
We have sold our house in Washington for a significant loss and that has and will hurt financially for a while, but we are so glad that is done with.
The girls and Ben have been sick this past week, and I have been overwhelmed trying to unpack!
I am going to try to get caught up in the next few days. I have not taken any pictures for the last little while just because the camera was packed and we were moving! But we have gotten to a point where I can take a few moments a day now and catch up on the blog!
As for 2012:
I hate to be negative since I try to see things in a positive light, so here I go! I am so very glad that 2012 is over!
It was a year the like I would not care to see again anytime soon.
The good things:
I got to see my whole family this year. Everyone.. That does not happen too many years.
Ben found a job that has potential to be great.
We moved back to Texas.
My little girls turned 1!
I got the opportunity to become a stay at home Mom.
I have high hopes for 2013. It is not going to be an easy year, but we are going to make it a better one!
We wish you all the same in the coming year!
A little blip of photos to come. This was the Sunday before Christmas.
Thanks Laura for the dresses! We had one that matched yours and the girls were darling!
